The Opportunity
We are seeking a commercially minded Senior Consulting CFD Engineer to join our Mid-West based US team. This is a high-impact role for a technical expert who thrives at the intersection of engineering excellence, software development, and customer engagement. You will work closely with prestigious automotive OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and motorsport clients, helping them harness CFD for innovation, competitiveness, and rapid design cycles, driving both technical and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and deliver advanced CFD simulation projects for automotive and motorsport clients
• Act as a technical advisor and trusted partner to key accounts—understanding customer challenges and proposing tailored solutions
• Drive pre-sales technical discussions and support business development with compelling demos and proof-of-concepts
• Develop and present high-quality technical materials and recommendations to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders
• Mentor junior technical staff and contribute to internal knowledge development
• Collaborate cross-functionally with software development teams to influence product direction based on customer needs
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of our simulation software, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of our clients

Ideal Candidate Profile
• BSc/MSc/PhD in Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive Engineering, or related fields
• 6+ years of hands-on CFD experience (preferably with external aerodynamics and thermal systems flows)
• Strong knowledge of tools like ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, iconCFD, OpenFOAM, or similar
• Experience working with or for automotive OEMs, motorsport teams, or simulation consultancies
• Proficiency in software development, particularly in languages such as Python, C++, or similar
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Commercial awareness and ability to align technical delivery with business value
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, customer-driven environment
