The Opportunity
Are you a CFD expert with a passion for solving real-world engineering challenges and a knack for building strong client relationships? We’re looking for an experienced Consulting CFD Engineer who combines deep technical expertise in OpenFOAM®, with a commercial mindset to join our US-based team.
In this high-impact role, you’ll work directly with leading automotive OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and motorsport innovators, delivering cutting-edge simulation solutions that drive performance, efficiency, and speed to market. You’ll also play a key role in pre-sales/sales engagements, helping shape the future of our software and services through customer feedback and technical insight.
What You’ll Do
- Lead high-value CFD projects using OpenFOAM® and other tools, delivering actionable insights to top-tier automotive and motorsport clients.
- Engage directly with customers to understand their technical and business challenges and propose tailored solutions.
- Deliver high quality technical presentations in regular touchpoints with customers.
- Collaborate with the development team to drive innovation and influence product direction based on real-world use cases and customer feedback.
- Supervise and guide other support engineers and contribute towards best practice.
What You Bring
- 6+ years of CFD experience in external vehicle and/or motorsport aerodynamics, thermal dynamics and turbulence modelling.
- Detailed knowledge and experience of OpenFOAM® including process customization and workflow automation.
- Proficiency with commercial tools like iconCFD, ANSYS Fluent and STAR-CCM+.
- Strong programming skills in Python, shell scripting etc. for simulation automation and tool development.
- Experience working with or for automotive OEMs, motorsport teams, or engineering consultancies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely translate technical insights to clients.
- A proactive, customer-focused mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Authorized to work in the United States (without the need for visa sponsorship preferred).
