For over nineteen years, ICON has been delivering market leading independent and confidential support and expertise in the application and development of CFD methods to solve engineering problems.  We currently have a vacancy in the USA for a Senior Account Manager and in particular we are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic professional in this location.

In addition to the technical skills outlined below, candidate should be fluent in English and the language of the country they are working in.

Applicants for the post will be highly motivated and enthusiastic with a good post-graduate degree in mechanical engineering/business or a closely related discipline. Interest and expertise in the areas of Fluid Dynamics, CFD or CAD would be considered an advantage. Knowledge and experience in the following is particularly desirable:

• Proven Senior Management experience as well as experience in Sales
• Outstanding commercial acumen with an ability to identify target markets
• Track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets
• Must be able to travel to conferences, meetings and special events
• Excellent decision making and influencing skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent presentation skills and the ability to nurture relationships

 

Requirements:

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate there.
• Employer will not sponsor visas for this position
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Experience in sales and marketing at Manager level
• IT Literate in MS Office (Excel/Word/Powerpoint) and ability to learn new systems
• Knowledge and experience in selling computational fluid dynamics (CFD) products and services.
• Must be a “self-starter”, comfortable at generating own sales leads and acting upon marketing driven opportunities.

The Senior Account Manager will contribute at both a strategic and operational level in order to identify and develop commercial opportunities which support the growth of the business within their geographical/specified region.   

This role contributes to the Icon business plan by delivery on the annual commercial plan for the USA.  You will join a professional team providing services to OEMs worldwide, with the opportunity to work at the forefront of CFD in close collaboration with our first-class application engineers and developers.
